Moodify! works by providing you with a variety of ideas and strategies that are known to work in order to improve emotional wellbeing, enhance relationships, and improve satisfaction with life. Moodify! offers encouragement and interesting and practical ideas in a safe and emotionally supportive environment.
How Long do the Meetings Last For?
Meetings last for one hour and occur at times convenient to your lifestyle.
I Don’t Want to Come to Moodify! Meetings Every Week. Is That OK?
Yes, that is ok, but remember that you are less likely to benefit as much as you would if you attended regularly.
Can I Attend Moodify! Meetings if I am Seeing Another Mental Health Professional?
Absolutely! In fact we encourage this. We will happily work in conjunction with your therapist or counsellor. In fact, we are completely confident that the content of Moodify! groups will assist you in your work with your therapist. It is important to remember that Moodify! groups are not counselling or therapy, and are not designed to replace the role of counselling or therapy in a persons life.
Do I Have to Talk or Actively Participate in Moodify! Meetings?
No. Where there are opportunities to participate in a group discussion, it is entirely up to you. There is no pressure in a Moodify! group.
How Can I find a Moodify! Meeting Close to Me. What Are the Times of the Meetings?
At this stage, Moodify! operates at limited times and locations. We hope to offer a greater number of groups in your community in the near future. Currently, Moodify! is running it’s inaugural group every Wednesday evening between 6.00 and 7.00pm at St Aidan’s Uniting Church, 26 Princess Rd Claremont, W.A. We meet in the Northern Lounge area.
Please Note that MOODIFY!’s inaugural session commences 6.00pm on Wednesday June 4 2014.
